Built on the character of the iconic Continental GT the Bentley Continental GT Convertible is every inch a grand tourer with sleek design elements and low, wide proportions. With the roof up the Bentley Continental GT Convertible feels every inch as sophisticated as its coupé counterpart with an array of fabric choices to truly personalise your luxurious handcrafted interior. The roof design of the Bentley Continental GT Convertible has been carefully considered so that when the streamlined roof is down, the interior and exterior blend perfectly together. Quick to close the roof folds and rests against the car's low waistline, creating an elegant curve from the side panels round to the rear seats; a true delight to the eye. As for performance the Bentley Continental GT Convertible's 6-litre 12-cylinder W12 engine with 8-speed dual clutch transmission can hit top speeds of 207 mph, reach 0-62 mph in just 3.7 seconds providing a huge 626bhp and 900 NM maximum torque. There is also the Bentley Continental GT V8 model available with an impressive V8 engine, should you prefer. Packed with innovative technology the new Bentley Continental GT Convertible includes Active-All-Wheel drive, making this open-air car suitable for all driving conditions including heated armrests, heated steering wheel and front seat neck warmers. An in car Wifi hotspot keeps you connected to the outside world while there are limitless customisation options from the exterior finish to the interior woods and stitching. You can even choose from seven different roof finishes with 8 options for the rood headliner. As for boot space there is 235 litres cargo volume, which is about what you would expect from a convertible model.
Bentley Continental GTC Models
The Bentley Continental GTC is available in Standard, Mulliner, First Edition and V8 models.
Standard: The standard Bentley Continental GT includes as standard an 8-inch infotainment system with built-in satnav with voice activation. There are also parking sensors, air conditioning and an 8-speaker audio system.
Mulliner: The Mulliner model is upgraded with see increased 21-inch alloy wheels with high-quality trim and interior materials including deep pile carpets to match the nappa leather upholstery and seats with straight fluted style hide cover.
First Edition: The First Edition Bentley Continental GT Convertible features upgrades to the standard model with a reupholstered interior with a greater choice of colour options. There are new foot pedals and a larger steering wheel, and Bentley's rotating display that switches the central display between a 12.3 inch infotainment screen to a blank wooden panel or traditional analogue dials.
V8: The Bentley Continental V8 GT Convertible comes with 20-inch painted ten-spoke alloy wheels, a choice of 7 exterior paints (as opposed to 17 on the GT model), bright chrome wing vent with black 'B' badging on the radiator shell, boot lid and wheels, quad tailpipe exhaust finished with a 4.0 litre V8 petrol twin turbocharged engine that produces 770 Nm of torque.
Two powerful engines
The Bentley Continental GT Convertible is available in an impressive 635 hp W12 or a more nimble 550 hp V8 engine. Both models come with four-wheel drive that can shift from 38% of power in the front wheels to 83% of power in the rear wheels, for a more sporty experience. As standard on the W12 model there are active roll bars to keep the car flat around corners, which is an optional extra on the V8 model. Whichever model trim and engine choice you pick nothing compares to driving in a Bentley Continental GT Convertible with air rushing through your hair and the thrill of fast open-top driving in style.
