Audi A7 Sportback Leasing
The Audi A7 Exhibits Sporty Saloon Looks
The latest incarnation of the Audi A7 brings the impressively-proportioned 5-door to levels of luxury not seen before in this class. The cabin has received a professional makeover, bringing the A7 closer in style to its older sibling, the A8. The engine has undergone some work too; also in line with the A8, it now features 48V mild-hybrid technology, allowing the car to coast emission-free, to recuperate energy whilst braking, and delivering more responsive performance.
Sleek Audi Design
Paying close attention to detail, Audi has updated the A7’s design, bringing it closer in line with the A8 but allowing it the individual breathing space it needs to command a territory all of its own. Inherited parts include the basics of the steel chassis and interior technology. On the outside, freshly cut lines define the outer casing of the car and the fuel cap has been shifted upwards to make for overall smoother styling. Practical perks include the A7’s five accommodating seats and a boot capacity of 535 litres, easily expanded to 1,390 litres with the rear seats folded. The longer wheelbase means there’s a little more space inside, where driver and passengers are treated by way of touchscreens to a sweet shop of features.
What Audi Includes with the A7
The Audi A7 comes in two familiar trim lines from Audi: the Sport and the S Line.
The Sport comes with a full fit-out of modern technologies:
- LED headlights
- 19” alloys
- Front and rear parking sensors with a reversing camera
- Automatic emergency braking
- Lane assist
- Cruise control
- Electric leather seats
- Sat-nav
- DAB radio
- Connectivity via Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Powered tailgate
Stepping up to the S Line trim, the A7 is fitted with additional features:
- Adaptive LED lights
- 20” alloys
- Sport suspension
- Harder interior and exterior S line styling
The A7's Performance
Standard engine sizes: 3.0-litre V6 petrol; 3.0-litre diesel 0-62mph: 5.3 seconds; 5.7 seconds MPG: 40.4; 50.4
Driving the A7, it is almost possible to forget the outside world entirely due to the whispering quiet of the engine beyond the soundproofed cabin and adaptive engine mounts. Steering is fresh and light, also based on that of the A8. Driving modes include Comfort, Balanced, and Dynamic, each underpinned by optional air suspension. A further option is rear-wheel steering (RWS), which is worth its salt for reducing the turning circle by a full metre. Whilst the extra stability that RWS delivers on the motorway may not be entirely noticeable, it is working quietly in the background to keep the car on track. Impressively modern in attitudes to conservation, the A7 is fitted with a 48V mild-hybrid drivetrain system that delivers several benefits including storing energy from braking and turning off the engine at coasting speeds between 34mph and 99mph. The stop-start system kicks in as the car comes down to 13mph, with the car sensing traffic ahead and switching off power ahead of time.

There were a few hiccups along the journey of ordering and receiving the car but Vantage helped at all stages and we got there in the end with what I wanted/required!
