The Audi A8 - A Premier Saloon for Executive Motoring

The most recent update to the A8 heils a new design era for the model, its smooth silhouette using sharper creases and piercing light details to carve formidable anatomy. The body has grown some 37mm in length and 13mm in height since the last release, whilst its waist has shrunk by around half a centimetre. At launch, Audi says that - once all of the more than forty driver-assistance systems are in place - the A8 has the greatest capacity for autonomous driving of any production car on the market, including self-parking and autonomous braking.

A Design-Based Around Comfort and Luxury

The new design language dictating the form of the A8 plays on its somewhat oceanic proportions. Optional laser headlights and OLED rear lights, and the serene screen-based interior display feel somewhat submarine, with the wraparound dash putting driver and passengers into the place of tech-equipped submarine explorers. The fine interior design comprises Valcona leather upholstery, wood and aluminium detailing, and ambient LED lighting to set the mood. Entertainment is embedded in the A8’s fabric, with the MMI system including three separate screens, wireless charging, a DVD player, DAB radio, and connectivity options including Bluetooth and USB. Luxury abounds, with rear passengers of the long-wheelbase models benefitting from heated seats, four-zone climate control, electronic sunblinds and a separate infotainment control tablet.
