The BMW 2 Series Convertible is certainly a show stopper with it's sleek silhouette, sophisticated roof and accentuated rear, including chrome-plated exhaust pipes sure to catch everyone’s eye. Each component of this convertible's exterior has been thoroughly thought through from start to finish. For sunny days the electric roof can be operated at speeds up to 30mph, so you needn't stop to catch the wind in your hair. Inside a stand out Aluminium Hexagon Interior trim is highlighted by black high-gloss accents, while BMW's innovative ConnectedDrive allows drivers to seamlessly connect their phone and digital world with the BMW Connected+ app. As standard there is an infotainment system with 6.5-inch digital screen, satnav, air conditioning, automatic headlights, bluetooth connectivity and DAB Radio with CD player across all models.
What Does the Specification Look Like?
The BMW 2 Series Convertible is available in three model lines: SE, Sport and M Sport.
SE: The 2 Series Convertible SE Model includes 17-inch light alloy Y-spoke wheels, handy Park Distance Control to the rear, automatic lights, wipers and BMW remote services.
Sport: In addition to the SE Model the Sport enjoys ambient lighting, front sports seats, a high-gloss black interior trim with sporty coral red trim finisher, 17-inch light alloy double-spoke wheels with the rear bumper and front air inlet finished in high-gloss black.
M Sport: The 2 Series Convertible M Sport includes spectacular 18-inch M light alloy Double-spoke wheels, hexagon cloth and Alcantara upholstery add extra comfort, additional sporty highlights to the exterior include high-gloss Shadowline exterior trim, M aerodynamic bodystyling and M Sport suspension.
What about Performance?
The BMW 2 Series Convertible not only looks great on the eye and boasts a high quality interior, but is also really fun to drive. Available in a range of three and four cylinder petrol and diesel engines, a mid level yet great performing option is the 220d diesel that reaches 62mph in around 7 seconds. For a seriously thrilling drive the M240i petrol rapidly switches between gears thanks to BMW's skillful eight-speed automatic gearbox. Handling safe on the road the BMW 2 Series Convertible feels supple with smooth and sharp gear changes. What more could you ask for from a sleek and stylish convertible?
