There are nine Ford Focus Hatchback models in total: Zetec, Titanium, Titanium X, ST-Line, ST-Line X, Active, Active X, Active X Vignale, Vignale, and the Focus ST.

ST-Line: Providing a more sporty stance the ST-Line Focus includes 17-inch 5 spoke alloy wheels in rock metallic finish, body coloured rear spoiler, ST-Line grille and full body styling kit, sports suspension, polished twin tailpipe with flat bottomed steering wheel, alloy finish pedals, keyless start and trim with red stitching.

ST-Line X: In addition to the ST-Line this ST-Line X includes 18-inch matt black alloy wheels, red brake calipers, privacy glass, rain sensors navigation system, an 8-inch colour touchscreen with a 4.2 inch TFT instrument cluster, partial leather trim with red stitching, heated front seats, and dual-zone electronic air temperature control.

Active: The Active model highlights include 17-inch foundry black alloy wheels, raised ride height by 30mm, black painted mirror and roof cap, twin exhaust pipes, privacy glass, slippery, and trail mode are added, trim with blue stitching, SYNC 3 voice control, and navigation.

Active X: In addition to the Active Model the Active X includes 18-inch absolute black alloy wheels, panorama roof, parking distance sensors, auto wipers, and auto-dimming rear-view mirror, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, driver and passenger front heated seats, partial leather trim with blue stitching and FordPass Connect onboard modem.

Active X Vignale: Features include active park assist, rear wide-view camera, 3-spoke leather-trimmed steering wheel, Windsor leather perforated seats, ambient multi-color lighting, B&O premium sound system, and a handy head-up display.

Vignale: This luxury model includes 18-inch alloy wheels in liquid aluminum finish, unique Vignale front grille, and body styling, privacy glass, B&O sound system, active park assist with a rear wide-view camera, Vignale leather seats with a head-up display, and heated steering wheel.

Focus ST: Top of the pack is the Ford Focus ST with 19-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels in Magnette finish red brake calipers, ST badging, scuff plates in polished stainless steel, and continuously controlled damping suspension. Inside there is a B&O sound system, driver and passenger heated seats with partial leather seating upholstery.

A Great All-Rounder

There are three engine sizes to consider: 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 litres available in both petrol and diesel models; there is also a hybrid engine in the range. For motorway drivers, the 1.5 diesel has a 120hp output and should return around 60mpg. For petrol heads the 1.5 equivalent provides a higher 150bhp and is quicker when accelerating, providing around 40 mpg. Then there is the Ecoboost hybrid engine offering that uses a 48-volt battery and small electric motor to improve efficiency. On the road the Ford Focus Hatchback is a true joy to drive; you could even go as far as to say that it is the best family car offering on the market. The car's body has great control with plenty of driver assistance features. Then depending which trim you choose you can make your Ford Focus Hatch as sporty or as refined as you would like.
