A Sophisticated Medium Van

Still remaining tough, strong and functional the Ford Transit Connect offers both short and long wheelbase options with a payload capacity of up to 982kg and van or double-cab-in-van body styles. A sophisticated medium-sized van that includes a driver-technology assistance system and improved fuel economy with lowered emissions, the Transit Connect will be a great addition making everyday errands easier. The short L1 wheelbase can carry items up to 3m long while the L2 long-wheel-base model can accommodate items up to 3.4m long. Stand out features include pre-collision assist that detects vehicles and pedestrians in the road ahead, Ford's SYNC 3 system connects your phone, music and navigation to the 6-inch colour touchscreen that can be activated by voice commands. Start&Stop function, dual-zone climate control, an adjustable steering wheel column and flexible dual passenger seats and intelligent speed assist are all functions to enhance your business driving experience.

As well as van lengths there are two body styles to choose from: Van and Double cab-in-van options. The Van model includes a choice of two or three seats in the cab and has a sliding door load and a glazed rear lift-gate with a wash-wipe and heated demist option. Then the Double Cab-in-Van has two seats to the front and an extra row of three seats behind meaning you can accommodate more passengers. There is also a moveable mech bulkhead that separates the second row of seats from the loadspace.

Ford Transit Connect Trims

There are four trims available in the Ford Transit Connect family: Leader, Trend, Limited and Sport.

Leader: Standard features include 16-inch steel wheels in shadow silver, kerbside load door (on the Van version) overhead stowage, DAB radio with Bluetooth, rake and reach adjustable steering wheel and instrument panel stowage box.

Trend: The Trend model sees upgrades to 16-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, body-coloured front bumper, front fog lights, Quickclear heated windscreen and washer jets, 4.2 TFT display, 8-way adjustable driver's seat and plastic easy-clean cargo floor liner (available on the van only).

Limited: The Limited Transit Connect Van has 16-inch alloy wheels painted sparkle silver, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers, rear parking sensors, power fold and heated mirror doors, manual. air conditioning, cruise control, chrome finish door handles and heated drivers and single passenger seat with a 4-spoke leather-trimmed multifunction steering wheel.

Sport: Taking a more sporty stance there are 16-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels painted dark with full front and rear body styling kits, sport stripe kit, aluminium roof rails, front mud flaps, dual-zone automatic temperature control and partial leather heated drivers and singer passenger seats (the Sport trim is available in the Van body style only).

The Ford Transit Connect is available in both EcoBoost petrol and EcoBLue fuel-efficient engine options. The 1.0 litre Ford EcoBoost petrol has direct petrol injection and variable valve timing, providing better fuel economy and lower emissions than predecessors. For diesel drivers, the 1.5-litre EcoBlue diesel engine offers plenty of pulling power for shifting heavy loads yet returning low running costs.
